One of our co-owners Imogen Armstrong recently presented to the Midlothian Tourism Forum meeting on Sustainability hosted at our own Secret Garden Distillery in the Secret Herb Garden Cafe and Bistro!
Imogen shared our journey to net-zero so far as we attempt to ever improve our carbon footprint. We are so lucky to have our own green space and to be able to use the harvest from our Garden to produce our award-winning gins. But it is a journey and we want to be able to continuously improve what we do.
Our current goal is to actually measure our carbon footprint accurately and we are deep in spreadsheets and tracking down data sources to help. A huge thank you to the ECCI: Edinburgh Climate Change Institute and their RBS funded Climate Springboard course which has been so helpful to us in this.
